My name is Amy and I am currently living near Portland, OR. I’ve struggled with my weight and feeling not so great for as long as I can remember. I don’t know why I picked it up, but after reading Michael Pollen’s “In Defense of Food” I was hooked and have devoted the last several years to learning all I can about health, nutrition, food policy, and overall living well.
I’ve made great strides over the last few years in improving my health by shifting to a whole foods diet, moving my body daily, and minimizing stress.
In June 2013, I became certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. You can find more information on my practice here.
My goal for this blog is to create a space where I can share my triumphs and struggles regarding reclaiming my health, and also share research regarding health and nutrition that I find interesting…basically I want to create the kind of blog that I enjoy reading and hopefully others will like it too!
